September 2019 - Garden Transformation!
We are really excited to be able to show you the fantastic work that Franco and the local McDonald's team have been doing in the garden over the summer. They have completely transformed the whole space and we know that the children will love working in their new outdoor classroom... July 2019 - End of Year Production - Sherlock and Cinders

11th March 2019 - Science Week Launch 2019
On Monday we received another video from Dr. Peter Idish. Can it really be a whole year since Science Week 2018? Peter told the classes some of the things they would be looking at over the week and even had time to visit the rainforest! 7th March 2019 - World Book Day 2019
On Thursday we celebrated World Book Day in school. It was fantastic to see so many children involved in the day and their costumes looked brilliant. Children took part in hot-seating sessions, where they took on the role of their chosen character. We also rang the school bell to signal very special DROP EVERYTHING AND READ sessions. The teachers switched classes to read extracts from some of their favourite stories and we launched a special World Book Day competition...
6th March 2019 - Ash Wednesday
Today was our Ash Wednesday Mass in church. Father Des had help from three of our Year 6 pupils to distribute the ashes.

Today we were pleased to welcome Malcolm J Hogan, author of the "Granny Norbag" stories. He spoke to Key Stage 1 and 2 about his experiences as a writer - and told us about some of her adventures with her handbag and magic false teeth!

Today we were visited by Mr. Owen Kavanagh, who taught at St. Gerard's between 1949 and 1961. He spoke to the children about teaching in the 1950's.

Members of the parish came to visit our museum - and to see if they featured. The museum is due to be open for a week and is proving popular with everyone!

As part of our special 90th anniversary celebrations, we recreated the opening ceremony. Bishop Ralph and Father Des celebrated Mass before cutting the ribbon to officially re-open the school...

Well done to all the children that took part in our fun-run today. It was a sponsored event to raise money for school funds. The weather was glorious and everyone had a lot of fun!
