In Reality Team - The Good Shepherd

What a fantastic two day Good Shepherd Mission!  On the 24th and 25th March the ‘In Reality team’ led a wonderful two days of fun, prayer, music, reflection and liturgy, and worked with all pupils from F2 to Year 6 exploring the theme of The Good Shepherd. Not only did the team enable all our children think of ways to pray, fast and give aims, but all our children thought about ways in which they can be the ‘Best that they can be!’ At the end of the 2 days all children and parents/carers joined together with a liturgy in the school hall.

‘In Reality’ is the Youth Ministry Team in the Diocese of Hallam (Click here for more information of their work).  Young people respond to peer ministry.  Their purpose is to help them become living witnesses to the gospel message in their everyday lives.  Our aim is not only to talk about religion, but to bring faith to life and allow children to experience it for themselves.  We hope to show that the Gospel message is very much alive and relevant in our modern world by engaging them in discussion, encouraging involvement in music and drama, and providing liturgies that are accessible, dynamic and engaging.
